Oh, Look! Editorials And Other Fun Things!

Am I actually making a commitment? Oh yes I am. Can you believe it? I'm making my "reviewing editorials" column(I don't know) a monthly thing!(whut) I basically have no clue what I'm talking about right now, because I'm so happy about today being the last day of school and all! It's not like I had been going to school for the past two weeks anyway(except to take my exams, pssssh) so I don't know why it mattered anyway egh. Oh god. I'm rambling on and on, and it's only the intro! So ehh, there are a lot of pretty editorials in pretty magazines lately so I made a post about them! Good god that's over now.

Lula #14 — I mean, c'mon, it's Lula. Which I'm pretty sure is secretly curated by sparkly little fairies that live in the Forbidden Forest(okay that was so not a Harry Potter reference) that sneeze sparkles and cry little diamonds. There's basically very girly editorials that even a very not-girly-girl would appreciate. In addition to some too-pretty-for-word editorials, there are also an interesting interview with Iris Apfel and an article on dressing up in terms on fashion. Pure. Visual. Orgasm. I love this issue so much that I went to Barnes & Nobles and spend $18 that was intended for Chuck Palahniuk novels.

Dazed & Confused June 2012 — There's basically this thing about Dazed and Confused that made it impossible to look away from. It's probably the "unique aesthetic that offers an interesting perspective"(oh look, we have a "fashion journalist" over here) that can be seen throughout its — hands down — truly kick-ass editorials. From a suspiciously inspired-by-Fincher's-TGWTDT editorial featuring Noomi Rapace, to an ethereal almost-like-the-fairies editorial with really pretty dress(and face masks, may I add) you need this on your bookshelf. Now. Run, don't walk.

Interview June/July 2012 — Interview is not really one of those magazines very well-known for its fashion content, but nevertheless it doesn't mean it's June/July 2012 issue couldn't be absolutely flawless fashion-wise(Note: I think I drank a little too much tea while writing this). There's this absolutely rad editorial featuring Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron as vampy femme fatales, which is oh my fucking god absolutely beautiful I can't even describe the perfection of this right now egh egh EGH. The rest of the magazine passed by as a blur because I'm too focused on the vampy editorial but it's really flawless.
