At the end, does it even matter?

"There will never be fireworks, but I hope you dream of them. I hope the ashes never damage you, but brush your face. I hope the explosions quiet your mind and the heat clothes your face in honor and when the show ends, I hope the grass continues to grow and all the birds survived. I hope they sing. I hope you awaken. I hope you remember us. I hope you smoke, and when you do, I hope you smoke yourself sick over me. I hope you let the rings of smoke ring all the way to the heavens and breathe in with the clouds, pollute the air with your mind, the world could use it. I hope you rest your hands on me, fold me into my own clenched fists. Trapped in a world suspended, I’ll catch your illness and be sick over you."Jodi Hitt

  2. Hey Marcia! :) Came across your lovely blog through Rookie Mag (of course, nothing like a Tavi pick-me-up on Tuesday!) and just wanted to say how much I agree with your comment AND how much I love your blog! I admit that I have such low self-esteem that even the littlest things or critics get to me each day, and no matter how judgemental people are of me, I always somehow let their perceptions of me affect me in some way. My dream and my passion is about fashion and writing, yet there are people out there I know who somehow seem so judgemental about me and dislike me because of my dream and what I love to do, and I admit, it's so hard to push away their negative words but I try my best! I wish there was more diversity in the fashion industry as well, but I guess some people will only stick to their cookie-cutter molds of what is "normal" or "right". And thank God I'm not the only one who secretly despises Seventeen magazine as well.... :o

OH, and anyway, continuing on (sorry for this super-long comment haha) can I just say how awesome your blog is? =) I love your little "about me" section and your blog content is so refreshing and unique, compared to the unoriginal posts some have out there! You definitely deserve more followers, so now, I'm one of your followers! =) It's so great to meet another teenage fashion blogger on here! Followed you on Twitter as well! <3 I hope we can stay in contact! =) I can't wait to see some upcoming posts! :)

    1. Thank you so much — it really means a lot to me ☺ One of my pick-up lines lately have been not to give a fuck about what other people think. At the end, the only thing that really matter is our own opinion!

I hope we can stay in contact too ~

  5. Hi! I just came across your blog and somehow this blog enchanted me , somewhere between the still from a Japanese animation movie and melancholic quotations. I wish I had the vocabulary and witticism to write a moving comment here but I truly can't describe in words how much sophistication and inspiration I see in your posts. The mixtape you made here is also rad; I can't deny I love Lana Del Rey and Gaga, even they're supposed 'mainstream' and stuff and apparently people's logic work likes this: bloggers -> hipsters -> can't like certain music but ANYWAY. First Aid Kit and Athlete are also great. I've added you to my links, hope you don't mind that! By the way, do you see yourself as a feminist? I'm sorry if I made that prejudice too soon based on the facts you post about THe Virgin Suicides & Courtney Love. I know I just sound like a pretentious hipster but I would love to keep some contact with you; sharing thoughts and music and art. Oh and WHY DOES EVERYONE THINKS FEMINISM IS A PHENOMENA WHICH MUST BE COMBINED WITH ROMANTICISM? As in the art movement.

    1. I feel so honored. No, really. Yes, I do considered myself as a feminist though I'm against hyper-feminism ^.^ Egh, I hate the stereotypical standards the society had set up — just because we're bloggers doesn't mean we're not people!

No, I wouldn't mind at all if you put me as one of your links. Thanks!
